Nature is more amazing than Mysticism
Some of the basic Tenets of man that are Universal are:
1) Free Will is a basic element of human existence.
2) Lack of predestiny is a resultant of the premise of Free Will.
3) The physical laws of the universe are invariant over time. Abridgement of these laws would defy free will. Thus revelations and miracles made available to a chosen few would violate the natural laws.
4) Universalists, Monotheists, Agnostics, Athiests, etc. can all agree on the physical present. And, can come to similar scientific conclusions on the past. Universal truth is available equally to all rational men.
5) The understanding of the age of man and the universe is not to be found in religious texts. Only scientific means can quantify cosmic time.
6) No Dogma can be stated by one religion, without demeaning the Dogma of another. Religions compete for an audience, where a Creator would treat all equally. Thus, Dogma is the fiction of the superstitious.
7) Organized religions are cults; only differing by size and acceptance. Those inside the belief structure are assumed to be in a better place than those outside. All cults claim to have the actual and best 'truth', all others being inferior. Questioning the beliefs of a cult, makes one an outcast. Thus, organized religion is not a force of cohesive good as it divides people, rather than uniting them.
Truth is Timeless
Fundamentally, mankind on Earth is far older than any religion by 4 orders of Magnitude. In order for a Monotheastic Creator to have revealed himself to all men, any TRUE religion would have to be 7 million years old. Thus, no organized religion or mythology can be true. Nor can any man be God, walking on the face of the Earth.
